The location was perfect, you can walk to everything, shops, dining and parks.

Valet parking.

This Hotel is perfect for a business trip, girls were shopping on weekend, or especially a romantic getaway.

In the historic area of Charleston. Very helpful desk agents.

This was a wonderful hotel located in historic downtown Charleston. Due to extensive flooding in their area, the desk clerks were very instrumental in providing alternative ways into the city as they had closed down downtown Charleston. The rooms were absolutely wonderful. Even with two beds the room was at least 1-1/2 times the size of a normal hotel room. There were many amenities at the hotel that included milk and cookies at bed time, and a coffee urn in the room hallway for your use at any time. Mattresses unusually soft. No in-house sundries shop.

Disappointed mainly due to the price of this hotel. There are better choices nearby. Advertising led me to expect more. There are no in-house or attached shops. They are nearby within 2 or 3 blocks. Hotel has coffee, tea and iced tea available in the lobby and on all three floors all day. Wine and cheese in the evening in the lobby and milk and cookies at 8pm in the lobby. Nice touch. Bathtub and shower combination. Clean bathroom and spacious.

Some women behind the desk were a little testy.

I would call in modern but with old world features. Nice art work in public ares. It is not actually on church street. The entrance is on a side street. Nice to have public balconies,but view not pretty. Better if you could enter from church street. Better if we could park our own car. $17 a day for valet service-high. Valet often not there when we needed him. Egg offering/cereal for free breakfast would help. Mostly, the mattress was just too soft. I came home with a back ache. ...read more
